Each incoming sixth grade student will need to read just ONE of the following books of varying degrees of reading levels.
Where The Red Fern Grows - Wilson Rawls
Freaky Friday - Mary Rodgers
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - C. S. Lewis
My Side Of The Mountain - Jean George
The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett (232 pages)
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte (552 pages)
Below is a link to the Book Report handout. You need to download and print this file and use it to complete your Book Report. The handout contains the pages upon which you will record the necessary information as you read any edition of the above required novels. A Book Report will be collected from each student on the first day of school. Book Reports need to be completed neatly, in erasable pen, with correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. Students need to color the graphics, but they do not need to cut them out.
