What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is a new program that provides a way for St. Clare School to make financial contributions to the school. This program is different from other fundraisers in the following ways:

• Annual Fund gifts provide a reliable, regular source of income to the school.
• Annual Fund gifts are used to improve school facilities and academic programs.
• Annual Fund gifts are fully tax deductible, unlike normal tuition and fee payments.
• Annual Fund gifts are another source of funding that can help reduce tuition.

Why is the Annual Fund necessary?

St. Clare School creates a budget each year that is balanced and complete. The school is solvent and its finances are sound. But we should spend more on the maintenance of our facilities and development of our academic programs. We are investing in these areas each year, but, to meet our goals, we need to invest a somewhat larger amount. We need to ensure that our facilities will serve us into our next century and that our academic programs keep pace with the demands of our educational mission.

To meet this increased investment need, we could increase tuition and fees, but that alone is neither prudent nor desirable. Therefore, we are asking our larger community to supoort our Annual Fund as much as they can and support us as we plan our future.

Who is being asked to participate?

We are inviting our entire community to support the Annual Fund. Current families, alumni and friends have always been very helpful when we asked for assistance and we believe that they value their association with St. Clare School.

How can I give to the Annual Fund?

We have contacted many of the members of our community, both in person and by mail, and sent them information about the Annual Fund. We also sent a Response Card that explains how to participate in the Annual Fund. You can always ask for an extra Response Card.

Your gift to the Annual Fund can be made in a single payment or in multiple monthly payments. In addition, you may start payments on a pledge at a future date, if that is helpful.

• You may give to the Annual Fund by writing a check.
• You may give to the Annual Fund by making an online donation. The link is at the top and bottom of this page.
• You use other options shown on the Response Card.

When can I give to the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is always accepting gifts. Donors can pledge a gift and pay it over a period of months or make the contribution in a single payment. The online payment options is always available.

What is the goal of the Annual Fund? How much money is being raised?

The St. Clare Annual Fund is unique in that there is no monetary goal. We are not trying to reach a particilar dollar amount because we do not believe that kind of goal will be the most effective.

Our only goal is that 100% of our families, alumni and friends of St. Clare respond to the Annual Fund.

Your employer might match your gift!

Corporate matching gifts can double or even triple your gift to St. Clare School. Please check with the company personnel office to find out if your employer, or your spouse's employer, has a matching gift program.

Last Year's Annual Fund Results!

The 2007-08 Annual Fund raised over $38,000 from over 85 families! Thank you to all who made a gift to the Annual Fund. We hope to report another successful result this year.
